I remember this saying as far back as I can remember; it hung on a little wooden plaque on the dining room wall of my grandad and grandma's house. I admit that I was a little slow on the significance and meaning of it; but this is an insight; we would do well to remember. We have many such reminders that are popular in culture, such as, "oh what a tangled web we weave, when at first we practice to deceive" and "honesty is the best policy." But all too often we (and I include myself) end up being dishonest. Lying is something that we all struggle with; we know we shouldn't lie; we know we should tell the Truth; but all too often we don't. But we do not have to lie. None of us have to lie. So, lets start working on being more honest with each other. There is another saying I have like since I was a kid: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." No matter the lies you have told before; you can start today with honesty.
