Honesty

I remember this saying as far back as I can remember; it hung on a little wooden plaque on the dining room wall of my grandad and grandma's house. I admit that I was a little slow on the significance and meaning of it; but this is an insight; we would do well to remember. We have many such reminders that are popular in culture, such as, "oh what a tangled web we weave, when at first we practice to deceive" and "honesty is the best policy." But all too often we (and I include myself) end up being dishonest. Lying is something that we all struggle with; we know we shouldn't lie; we know we should tell the Truth; but all too often we don't. But we do not have to lie. None of us have to lie. So, lets start working on being more honest with each other. There is another saying I have like since I was a kid: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." No matter the lies you have told before; you can start today with honesty.

Helpful tip of the day.

This idea  is neat, but I have found that using colored masking tape or even plain masking tape and writing what the cord is for work a whole lot better. Also if there is excess cords and they are gettin tangled you can loop the excess and twist tie the loop.

Keep Trying

On the one hand this saying sounds overly fatalistic, but on the other it can encourage us to patience. However, it isn't enough to that "what's meant to be will always find its way." We need to know that what is meant to be is part of the plan of God. That our all-wise, loving, all-knowing righteous God has a plan and that if we are His children that His plan is for our good and that all things work out for our good. This however, doesn't mean that we don't do anything. Rather, knowing that He has a plan and that He is working all things after the council of His will should be a  great encourager and motivator; for we can go out boldly and know that if we can trust the future to Him. We need to be faithful in the little things now, for the past, present, and future is in His more than capable hands. So...Keep trying.

Success

Sometimes, we feel like giving up. It seems like we put a lot of effort in and never succeed, but maybe if we were to take a step back: we would see that we are having a series of small wins. Even if we can't, we might need to remember to view "failure" in the light of a lesson learned. Shortly before He invented his light bulb, Thomas Edison is attributed to saying "I have not failed; I have discovered 1,000 ways not to make a light bulb." We want to encourage you today to not give up. The only way to surely fail is to never try or to stop trying. You may need a new approach, or a slight modification to your plan or goal; but do not give up on any worthwhile goal.

Mark Twain on Golf

Mark Twain, apparently wasn't the fan of golf that some people are. I am probably more like Twain on this subject than most, but I do appreciate that some like golf. It is this diversity in interests that helps make life more interesting. Sometimes this diversity can make it harder to find the right gift for the one you love or even just a basic gift pf appreciation or something for the office gift exchange. Which is why we have over 14,000 items to choose from. We hope that whatever your gift needs that you will think of us: we have the gift you are looking for.

Today's Tip

May you be encouraged to live today with a spirit of adventure. To pursue the life that will bring the fruit.

Fighting Porn Addiction

Here at Redemption Ridge Retail, we care about every person, who stops by our blog, store, or site. We want everyone to be all they were designed by God to be. We want to provide information that helps people be all they can be and to encourage them in right living. We also hope that everyone comes to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.  Below is an article reposted from an Email From Focus on the Family. How do you overcome pornography addiction? It is a question perplexing millions of people around the world who are struggling with this issue.  Recovery isn't simply a matter of stopping the pornography use. It's about replacing it with something else. Stopping is always difficult, but relapse is almost guaranteed unless the void is filled with something positive. There's no other way to solve the problem in the long term. Pornography: The Great Counterfeit Pornography is based on the believable lie that one can have the adventure and reward of sexual en
Sometimes, when we see a new product or company we can be skeptical just because they are new; however, that is not a sufficient reason alone to be skeptical of a company. I don't just say this because I have this new company: I have had other companies before. I say this because there are lots of legitimate small businesses out there being held back, because we are creatures of habit. We shop the same place, eat the same place, etc. We may be missing out on opportunities to do business with a family owned business, because we have watched too many commercials for a big business. We are a family owned business and we depend on your support. I also shared this because I know many people who have dreams and good ideas that just need the right backing that get discouraged and quit before they can get off the ground. Just because the first few people you present the idea too do not like it doesn't mean it is a bad idea. Keep trying, you may have the next Billion dollar idea
Something that we all could use more of is good old fashioned perseverance. Life isn't easy, but there is great value in sticking things out. Determine if your goal is of value, if it is then find a way to stick with it. It is rare that anyone succeeds in the first few attempts, so keep attempting just do not keep attempting it in a cookie-cutter way, Try new approaches, learn and adapt, on your way to success.
We all struggle with waisting time from time to time.  We hope that today you are encouraged to make good use of the time that you have been given. We are all given the same amount of time each day, but how we use it will say a lot. An hour wasted today is an hour lost forever. An hour spent today will reap a benefit today. An hour invested today will bring results for days and probably years to come.  Don't wait for inspiration: be the inspiration for others. Don't do everything yourself: include others to be part of your team. Don't worry what people will say: say the words of encouragement others need. Stop waiting to live life: start sharing the wonder of life. Don't be afraid: trust in God Don't complain: compliment someone instead. Don't leave unfinished tasks: Never put off till tomorrow what you should do today. Don't try to please everybody: seek to do what pleases God. Don't compare yourself (to others or even yoursel
May we all seek to be a little more kind in the things we do.

How to fix any Android phone stuck in headphone mode only.

My fiancee's phone had this problem recently. I found this video very helpful and it worked. Except that I suggested she try some compressed air (the kind in cans for cleaning keyboards) She tried the q-tip and it fixed it for a minute or two, but the compressed air cleaned some more out and it has been working great since. If you need phone chargers or headphones or computer cords, other electronics,  check out  the electronics section of our store. We hope to have the one you are looking for.
All too often these days we procrastinate and put things off. Much of what we say can't be done now can, in fact, be done now. I am not saying there is never a time when we can't do something. But we need to as the popular prayer goes:  "God, give me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other." If it should be done, then we should be doing it. There is so much that fear trying for fear of failure, but anything we never start we have already failed at. I encourage you to find at least one thing that needs doing today, and set out and do it.
It is truly important that we do the right thing, and not just when others are watching. We do not claim perfection here at Redemption Ridge Retail ; but it is our goal to do the right thing. It is our goal to do the right thing not just to earn your business, but because we serve our God in Heaven and must give an account to Him.
We are all to prone to see, where others are without considering the journey they took to get where they are.  None of us may have the level of business success that Bezos did, but we should not look at  his success and give up on our own. Whatever it is that you do wether online or off, we hope you ask yourself if it is good and right, and if it is we hope you go out and are successful at it.

Organizing Tips From The Container Store

The Following is an article from the Container Store. We also have storage items and systems. Also check out our kitchen food storage items, utensils, and appliances. 1. Start in one place If you have several areas in your home you want to get under control, start with just one. You decide which one to start with — is it the area that gives you the biggest headache, or the area that guests to your home most easily see? Whatever your priorities, select one area and stick to it. Many attempts at organization fail when the task of cleaning up the entire house seems daunting and folks give up. When you complete one area, celebrate and then move on to the next. 2. Allow plenty of time Don't expect organization to happen overnight. Depending on the area to be organized, schedule a couple of hours each day to work on getting the area organized. Getting a garage whipped into shape will take more time than it takes to organize a linen closet. 3. Clean house Once you've se
